1990/91 Third Shirt

This was the second season in which this shirt was used, with Bedford having been the sponsor in the previous campaign.

The shirt was not intended for use the following season, 1991-92, as the home kit featured white and blue, meaning only the orange variant was required. However, after Luton failed to record a win while wearing the orange version, it was deemed unlucky. As a result, the blue shirt was brought back for the final, must win, match of the season. Unfortunately, it failed to change their fortunes, as Luton lost the game and were relegated.
