Alan Goodall

Alan Goodall Date of Birth: Dec 2, 1981

After six good years at full-back with Bangor City and Rochdale, including UEFA Cup appearances for the Welsh club, Alan arrived at Luton Town in the summer of 2007. He signed a two-year deal and debuted on the opening day of the new season at home to Hartlepool. With Luton clinging to a 1-0 lead, Alan popped up to net a vital second goal near the end, heading home a corner.

He was a regular from day one until losing his place for several weeks after being sent off in a defeat at Brighton in November. In total he would feature in 35 of the 57 Hatters first team games of 2007-8 before being one of a raft of players departing in May due to the financial problems at the club.

He went on to play for Chesterfield, Rochdale again, Stockport, Fleetwood and Morecambe, in addition to loan spells at Newport and Grimsby. After stints with non-Leaguers Altrincham and Aberystwyth Alan hung his boots up for good in 2019 with more than 400 League games and 30 goals to his credit.
