George Pearson
George Pearson Date of Birth: Sep 21, 1907 Share "George Pearson" on FacebookBorn in West Stanley in 1907, George was a coalminer before joining Bury in 1924 and then Chelsea a year later.
The tiny left winger enjoyed seven seasons at Stamford Bridge appearing in over 200 first team games and scoring more than his fair share of goals. It was therefore seen as a major coup when he came to Luton in the summer of 1933.
George was a revelation at the start of his Luton career and in his first three games was instrumental in setting up 15 goals including ten against Torquay. Sadly, a succession of injuries cut back his appearances and, although his experience was always worth a place in the side, he was eventually replaced by Davie Hutchison.
Joining Walsall in 1934 he was no more successful and retired from the game.
