Norman Thomson

Born in Glasgow in 1901, Norman had played for the likes of Dumbarton and Hibernian before joining the Town in the summer of 1925.

A clever ball-playing inside-forward, he made a slow start to his Luton career but by the turn of the year was a regular in the side forming a good partnership with Jimmy Thompson.

Retained for a second season he started as a he left off but an offer from Second Division Clapton Orient in January 1927 was too good to turn down. His stay at Clapton was short because at the season’s end he signed for Brighton.

Norman signed for a further four clubs before finishing his career at Folkestone and then concentrating on his car business a stone’s throw from West Ham’s Upton Park.

Norman passed away in Ferring in 1984..
