Nathaniel Abbey

Nathanael (Nathan) ABBEY.

Islington born Nathan joined the Hatters as a trainee before signing professional forms in May 1996. After making his league debut in goal at Burnley, and playing a blinder, in February 1999 he became the regular goalkeeper the following season after the departure of Kelvin Davis.
Nathan was dropped after a 1-4 home defeat at the hands of Bristol Rovers in February 2000 but bounced back during the relegation season of 2000/01.
Joining the mass departure from Kenilworth Road in the summer of 2001, Nathan subsequently turned out for Chesterfield, Northampton, Boston, Leyton Orient and Bristol City before continuing in non-League and then managing several clubs in Bedfordshire.
