Bob Millar

Born in Dalry, Scotland on Boxing Day 1899, Bob came to Luton on trial in April 1921 and was awarded a contract due to the extra training he put in and perseverance shown.

For his first two seasons he learnt his trade mainly in the reserves but by 1923 he could not be overlooked and for the next seven years became a mainstay in the side. A left-half who went about his work quietly, he was only noticed when he was not on in the side. A great reader of the game and sound tackler he was able to set up attacks using skill rather than leather the ball.

Given a free transfer in 1930, Bob went on to give service to Belfast Celtic.
