George Porter
George Porter Share "George Porter" on FacebookBorn in Bow in 1887, George enjoyed an impressive trial at Norwich but was not retained before coming to Luton in September 1909.
A forward, who had a preference for the right wing, he played but one game at Southampton in October 1909 in a 3-2 defeat although he did score one of the Town goals.
George subsequently played for Peterborough City before joining Millwall, making two appearances in the seasons before the Great War.
George signed up to the 18th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment but died from wounds received in France in July 1918.
