James Harkins
James Harkins Share "James Harkins" on FacebookBorn in Paisley in 1905, James was an inside-forward who was signed from Third Lanark in the summer of 1926 but had to see out the 1926-27 season in the reserves.
He finally got his chance in the following campaign following an injury to Harry Woods and scored three goals in four games but lost his place once Woods was fit. Quite understandably he was not happy and was allowed to leave for Port Vale in December 1927 before returning to play in Scotland.
James passed away in Rochdale in 1998.
