John Brock

Born in Glasgow in 1878, John was turning out for Vale of Clyde when he was enticed down to Luton who were entering their second season in the Football League in 1898.

Playing in all positions in the forward line he was one of the first names on the teamsheet with his all action performances in his first season while in his second he became one of the experienced heads in the side at 21 as the Town suffered a disastrous time with money problems blamed on the expense of travelling to northern outposts.

The Town resigned from the Football League in 1900 and John was not retained as the Southern League beckoned so returned to Scotland.
