Tony Gregory

Tony Anthony Gregory Date of Birth: May 16, 1937

Luton Grammar Schoolboy Tony was a teenage wonderkid playing for England schoolboys at Wembley as well as the successful Bedfordshire Youth side that won the national championship.

Not surprisingly he was snapped up by the Hatters in 1955 and such was his progress that he made his League debut less than a year later. After dropping out after this sensational start he made only sporadic appearances over the next two years before winning a place on the left wing in the Town’s F.A Cup side in 1959, a side that was kept intact all the way through to the final.

A two year stint in the National Service followed, as well as a move to Watford, which preceded a tour of the non-League sides in the south combined with a career in marketing.

Tony sadly passed away in January 2021.
