Aaron Derek O'Connor Born: 9th August 1983 From:
  1. Nottingham
  2. Nottinghamshire
  3. England

Aaron started his career with Ilkeston Town in 2002, the first of 17 clubs he would played for in the next 21 years. A forward, he made his name at Gresley Rovers where he score 80 goals in 127 appearances over 2 and a half seasons. Spells followed with Grays Athletic and Mansfield Town before signing for Rushden and Diamonds of the Conference (5th tier). Aaron spent two seasons scoring 28 goals in 74 games for the Diamonds.

Luton manager Gary Brabin signed Aaron on a free transfer in the Summer of 2011. He went straight into the first team in the first game of the season, a 1 1 home draw with Forest Green Rovers. There was a lot of competition for places up front however, he slipped down to being an impact substitute. His first goal in a 5 1 win over Gateshead on the 15th October 2011 when he replaced the injured Amari Morgan-Smith early on.Aaron was in out out of the first eleven under Gary Brabin and Paul Buckle, playing in a total of 39 games scoring 9 times. His last game was in the play-off final defeat at Wembley against York. The match was marred by a poor decision by a linesman who failed to spot that York’s winning goal was clearly offside. Aaron’s appearance as substitute was for another substitute, Craig McAllister, who had a cut head.

Aaron moved to Newport County and signed a two year deal for his old Rushden manager, Justin Edinburgh. He helped Newport gain promotion to the Football League via the play offs. On to Forest Green and Stevenage and then 4 seasons with Kettering Town where he made 124 appearance scoring 62 goals in the 7th and 6th tiers. He added spells at Tamworth, Basford United and Carlton Town to his record before signing for Eastwood CFC in Nottinghamshire in the United Counties Premier Division North.
