Alan Judge Date of Birth: May 14, 1960

Proving that goalkeepers can go on much longer than outfield players, Alan was still pulling on his gloves for Banbury United at the age of 46!

Born in Kingsbury, Alan joined Luton from school and signed professional forms in 1978 before making his debut at Newcastle on the closing day of the 1979/80 season. Regarded as number two to Jake Findlay at Kenilworth Road, Alan nevertheless earned headlines when saving Gerry Gow’s penalty at fellow promotion contenders Rotherham during the Hatter’s championship winning campaign of 1981/82.

Alan accepted a step-down to Reading in 1982 and was back in the top flight with Oxford three years later where he won a Milk Cup winners medal.
