Albert Hutchinson
Albert Hutchinson Date of Birth: Sep 30, 1910 Share "Albert Hutchinson" on FacebookBorn in Sheffield in 1910, John was signed by the Town from local junior football in that City in 1928.
After a season in the reserves he got his first team chance in 1929-30 but in five games in three different forward positions he failed to impress and was granted a free transfer and signed on for Torquay.
The air in the West Country seemed to suit him as he became a club legend at Plainmoor racking up over 300 League appearances and scoring 80 goals which would have been more but for the outbreak of War.
Albert passed away in 1974.
