Albert Walters
Albert Walters Date of Birth: Apr 5, 1902 Share "Albert Walters" on FacebookBorn in Wolverhapton in 1902, Albert was a regular goalscorer at amateur level and was taken on by Portsmouth in 1927 but failed to make the grade.
A move to Aldershot, then a leading Southern League side, rekindled his form with the result that Luton manager John McCartney offering him a chance at Kenilworth Road in late 1928.
Sadly, Albert could not find a way past the prolific and injury free centre-forward Andy Rennie and made only one start, in a 1-0 defeat at Brighton.
Leaving at the season’s end, Albert joined Walsall where he had much more success, netting 30 goals in 50 starts for the Saddlers.
Albert finished his career with a spell at Shrewsbury Town.
