Alf Black
Alf Black Date of Birth: Mar 15, 1902 Share "Alf Black" on FacebookBorn in Milton Regis, Sittingbourne in 1902, Alf was spotted playing for his local side by Millwall who he signed for in 1924 and featured strongly as a fast and powerful left winger which culminated in the Lions walking away with the Division Three (South) championship in 1927-28.
Finding a starting place harder to come by in Division Two he was eventually released and came to Luton on trial in September 1931. He played in one game, a 3-2 defeat at Coventry, was not retained and went back to Kent to turn out for Folkestone.
Alf passed away in Chatham in 1972.
