Alf Nunn
Alf Nunn Date of Birth: Nov 15, 1899 Share "Alf Nunn" on FacebookBorn in Holborn in 1899, Alf first came to prominence with Clapton Orient in 1920 but in four seasons there he only managed 19 League appearances being always regarded as an understudy on the left wing.
Disillusioned, Alf went to Folkestone where he began to enjoy his football again leading to the Town approaching him in the summer of 1926. Only 5’5”, his speed was taken for granted but his end product did not match this, leading to him spending his first season at Kenilworth Road in the reserves.
In his second season he did get opportunities but was always regarded as a reserve to George Dennis. His last two campaigns saw him back in the reserves and he decided to call it a day in 1930 and revert to amateur football with Hugonians.
Alf passed away in 1946.
