Andy Drury

Andrew Mark Drury Date of Birth: Nov 28, 1983

Andy Drury joined the Hatters in the summer of 2010, having started his career for hometown club Sittingbourne and starring for Stevenage Borough, with whom Drury pipped the Hatters to promotion from the Blue Square Premier in 2009-10. He soon became a popular figure at Kenilworth Road, scoring his first goal in a 1-1 draw at home to Hayes and Yeading and getting sent off in the same match. Drury featured for half a season with the Hatters, scoring a total of eight goals, most notably a brace in an FA Cup second round draw at League One side Charlton Athletic.

This performance attracted the attention of Championship side Ipswich Town, with whom he signed for £150,000 in January 2011. Drury would re-sign for the Hatters in the summer of 2014 from Crawley Town, as Luton returned to the Football League. Drury featured 39 times for the Hatters in 2014-15, scoring twice including the only goal of a win at Plymouth Argyle in January, but was released in the summer of 2015.

Drury would play out his career back in non-league football, signing for Eastleigh and featuring for various clubs in the South East of England. Drury would also go on to become a non-league manager at clubs in his native Kent after retiring.
