Andy Kerr

Born in Falkirk in 1900, Andy was recommended to the Town by their Scottish scout after scoring over 50 goals in a season for Ardrossan Winton Rovers.

Coming into the side at the start of 1923-24, Andy proved a revelation scoring 20 goals and finishing top scorer by a country mile. Although only 5’8” he was extremely fast and packed a deadly shot with either foot.

Inexplicably, the goals dried up in the following campaign with Andy being released and after short, unsuccessful spells at Reading and QPR he drifted back to Scotland.
