Born Liverpool England. Went through Blackburn Rovers youth system he had brief spells with Kettering Town and Radcliffe Borough before signing for Southport in the Conference Premier League in 2011. A versatile defender or midfielder, Andy played 67times scoring 3 goals in his two years with the Sandgrounders.

He signed for the Hatters in the Summer of 2013 and, of course, his first game was a 1 0 defeat at Southport in which Steve McNulty was sent off. He started as a regular but lost his place through injury and only played 26 times scoring 4 times in that Championship winning season.

He didn’t figure in the Town’s return to the Football League and was loaned out to AFC Telford United, Southport and Altrincham. He was released by Southport in 2020.
