Anthony Grant
Anthony Grant Date of Birth: Jun 4, 1987 Share "Anthony Grant" on FacebookFierce-tackling midfielder Anthony Grant joined Luton on loan from Chelsea in the autumn of 2007. He made his debut in a difficult week for the club, which had just been put into administration by chairman David Pinkney.
Anthony came on as a sub in the League One home victory over Southend and would make four more substitute appearances before his only start in Luton colours – an astonishing 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers on Boxing Day in which he was one of three Hatters sent off (Chris Coyne and Steve Robinson the others), leaving an eight-man team to bravely hang on for 20 minutes to gain a point.
As a youngster Grant played one Premiership game for Chelsea (at Old Trafford) and was capped by England at junior level, later opting to represent Jamaica, for whom he won six full caps. At the start of 2025 he was still playing aged 37, having amassed almost 700 games for 13 different League clubs. His longest stay was at Southend United, where he spent nearly five years directly after leaving Luton in 2008.
