Archie Heslop Date of Birth: Jan 27, 1903 Share "Archie Heslop" on FacebookBorn in Annfield Plain, Co Durham in 1903, Archie was playing local football when he was spotted, like many others in the area, by Burnley but after three years and only 24 starts he came to Luton in May 1930 in part of the deal that took Jimmy Drinnan the other way.
A quick and brave right winger, some say too courageous for his own good as his two seasons with the Town were beset with injury which cut back his League appearances.
Released in 1932, Archie went back to playing non-League football in the North-East.
