Arthur Barker Date of Birth: May 1, 1879 Share "Arthur Barker" on FacebookBorn in 1879, Arthur was a prolific goalscorer for both Hitchin Union Jack and Hitchin Town before the cash-strapped Strawplaiters came sniffing around looking for local lads once they had re-entered the Southern League in 1900.
Although given a regular start up-front in 1900-01 he scored only three goals and returned to Hitchin Town in 1902 after a season in the reserves.
