Arthur Saxton
Arthur William Saxton Date of Birth: Aug 28, 1874 Share "Arthur Saxton" on FacebookBorn in Long Eaton in either 1874 or 1876, Arthur had enjoyed a good career with Glossop and Sunderland before coming to Luton in the summer of 1900 just as the Town were about to re-enter the Southern League.
Playing at either outside-left or inside-left he had a good run in the side but a bad injury suffered in a 4-2 home defeat by Portsmouth in February 1901 cut short his time with the club.
After recovering from his injury, Arthur turned out briefly for Northampton and Nottingham Forest before ending his playing days back in Long Eaton.
