Arthur Webdale

Born in Luton in 1889, Arthur was brought in from Luton Amateurs to play at left-back in a home game against Portsmouth in the Southern Alliance in March 1913.

The match report stated that ‘without doing anything brilliant he gave a sound display’ in the 2-1 victory but he was not picked again.

Arthur went on to give good service to St Albans City.
