Bernard Harris
Bernard Harris Date of Birth: Mar 14, 1901 Share "Bernard Harris" on FacebookBorn in Sheffield in 1904, Bernie was an experienced full-back who could play on either flank and after starting out his Football League career at Rotherham County he enjoyed a couple of seasons at Sheffield United before signing on for Luton in the summer of 1928.
Never a regular choice because of the form of Dave Richards and Henry Kingham he still made 19 appearances over 1928-29 due to injuries to the regular pair.
Leaving Luton in 1929, he had an altogether more successful time in three years at QPR before a spell at Llanelly and on to Swindon where he finished his League career.
Bernie passed away in Walthamstow in 1978.
