William Molyneux
William Molyneux Share "William Molyneux" on FacebookBorn in Wigan in 1892, Bill had an uninspiring season at Norwich before the Great War followed by an unsuccessful trial at Liverpool once hostilities had ceased before coming to Luton, along with many new recruits, in the summer of 1920.
As befitted a former miner, Bill was a tough, uncompromising wing-half who became a regular in the side for three seasons and was eventually made captain.
After making only one appearance in 1923-24 he joined Kettering and concentrated on his new found profession as a baker in Luton before becoming a licensed victualler.
Bill passed away in Luton in 1973.
