Billy Rickett
Billy William Rickett Date of Birth: Nov 19, 1911 Share "Billy Rickett" on FacebookBorn in Plaistow in 1909, Billy played for the famous Fairbairn House junior club in East London before being offered a trial at Colchester Town.
The Town nipped in before he had put pen to paper and brought him to Kenilworth Road in March 1930. Looked on as a great prospect as a goalscoring inside-forward, Billy was handed his debut on the opening day of the 1930-31 campaign but failed to impress and made way for Jimmy Yardley.
Leaving at the season’s end, Billy had an unsuccessful trial at Gateshead before putting things right with Colchester Town.
