Bob Draper
Frederick Robert Draper Date of Birth: Jul 1, 1875 Share "Bob Draper" on FacebookBorn in Luton in 1875, Bob played football for the Bedfordshire Yeomanry team and was invited to join the Town reserves in 1898.
He was elevated to the first team to play in an FA Cup replay at Tottenham in 1898-99 but in the following season he was called upon nine times at centre-forward in a struggling side and netted a creditable six goals.
Called to the colours in 1900 to fight with the 2nd Beds Regiment in the Boer War in South Africa he succumbed to pneumonia in Bloemfontein in July 1901.
