Robert Gray Date of Birth: Feb 27, 1872 Share "Robert Gray" on FacebookBorn in Stirling in 1872, Bob was signed up by Aston Villa in 1894, but unable to force his way into the first team joined Grimsby Town a year later where he became something of a legend, able to create chances from the wing or shoot with either foot.
After a spell at Bedminster, followed by a brief interlude at Middlesbrough, he joined the Town in January 1901.
He played four successive games at centre-forward but after losing his place he decided to retire and return to Grimsby where he passed away in 1926.
