Bobby Brennan

Robert Anderson Brennan Date of Birth: Mar 14, 1925

It was a smart piece of business for Luton Town when they brought the clever inside forward over from Belfast Distillery in October 1947 for £2,000.

Once he had established himself in the Hatters side, his quality and opportunist goalscoring was plain to see and it was with regret that a record offer from Birmingham two years later was too good to refuse although it caused much anger amongst the supporters at the time.

He did not settle well at St Andrews or at his next club Fulham but then went on to enjoy seven years with Norwich, for whom he turned out against the Town, and scored, in the 1959 F.A.Cup semi-final.

He settled in Norfolk where he remained until his death in 2002.
