Robert Colvin
Robert Colvin Date of Birth: Dec 5, 1876 Share "Robert Colvin" on FacebookBorn in Kirkconnel, Dumfries in 1876, Robert joined the migration of Scottish footballers south and started his playing career at Liverpool before moving to Glossop North End and New Brighton Tower.
Only 5’4”, the tiny, but brave and fast winger came to Luton in the summer of 1901 and was virtually ever present the following campaign forming a good playing relationship with Jimmy Durrant.
Surprisingly, he left after one season to join QPR and then on to Swindon where he was sacked for disciplinary reasons returning to Scotland to see out his playing days.
In later life Robert worked on the docks in Liverpool and passed away in that city in 1940.
