Although not a regular at Rangers, Luton scouts liked what they saw and brought him to Kenilworth Road in the summer of 1938. He had just managed to establish himself as a provider and scorer of goals from the wing when War broke out.
He then served in the Eighth Army and sadly died from wounds received in Tunisia in 1943.
