Christopher Slennett Share "Christopher Slennett" on FacebookBorn in Stratford in 1886, Christopher played for Manor Park Albion, Tuffnell Park and as an amateur for Norwich before joining the Town in the summer of 1909 as cover for regular centre-half Abe Jones.
Such was the consistency of Jones, he only made three first team appearances in a defence where 11 goals were conceded and left at the season’s end, reverting to amateur status once more with the newly re-formed Leyton.
