Connie Watkins

Born in Slip End in 1875, Connie broke into the Town reserve side in 1891 before making his first team debut in October of the following year.

Initially playing as a forward, Connie reverted to half-back at the start of 1893-94 where he played with distinction for the next three seasons, covering the early Southern League years.

After finishing playing Connie worked in the hat-trade where he was a straw hat blocker and passed away in Luton in 1927.
