Dean Beckwith

Dean Stuart Beckwith Date of Birth: Sep 18, 1983

Born in Southwark, Dean came through the Gillingham youth set-up, but made only one senior appearance for the Gills before being released in 2005. Following spells at Hereford and Northampton Town, he arrived at Kenilworth Road in the summary of 2011.

Over the following 18 months he proved himself a strong and committed centre half, but despite a number of solid performances was never quite able to secure an extended run in the starting line-up.

After leaving Luton in January 2013, he picked up Conference South/National League South winner’s medals with both Eastleigh and Sutton United, as well as being part of Sutton’s run to the fifth round of the FA Cup in 2016/17.

Dean’s career continued beyond his 40th birthday, celebrating the milestone as a member of Chatham Town’s Isthmian Premier League squad.
