Dwight Marshall

Dwight Marshall Date of Birth: Oct 3, 1965

After turning out for several non-League clubs in the London area, big time football seemed to have passed 25 year Dwight by and he looked on an unsuccessful trial at Crystal Palace as the last throw of the dice.

Fortunately, Palace coach Wally Downes recommended him to Plymouth where he made up for lost time by finishing top scorer in his first season. A £150,000 move to David Pleat’s Luton in 1994 saw the lightning quick striker top score once more but a badly broken ankle in 1995/96 was blamed for the Hatters sinking to relegation.

Dwight took a long time to recover from the break and then found it difficult to re-establish himself in the side and so moved back to Plymouth in 1998.

Dwight then turned out for number of non-League clubs, including Kingstonian for whom he played against the Town in an FA Cup tie, before working in HR at a North London college.
