Eddie Parris

Eddie John Parris Date of Birth: Jan 31, 1911

Born near Chepstow in 1911, Eddie was picked up by Bradford Park Avenue from Chepstow Town in 1928 when still a teenager and enjoyed six years in Yorkshire as an exciting, goalscoring winger as well as being capped for Wales along the way.

Moving to Bournemouth in 1934, Eddie maintained the same form but a subsequent transfer to the Town in February 1937 was not so successful. Eddie played only twice over the remainder of that campaign as the Town’s settled side won the championship of Division Three (South).

In the following campaign, replacing the injured George Stephenson, Eddie had a run in the side but preferred a move to Northampton rather than playing for the reserves once Stephenson was fit again.

Eddie finished his career at Cheltenham during the War years and passed away in Gloucester in 1971.
