Edgar Stevens

Born in Hartlepools, Edgar played local football before being taken to QPR where he failed to make a first team appearance.

Taken on by the Town in the summer of 1913 he was one of five players making their debut on the opening day of 1913-14. Because of his speed he was more suited to the wing rather than the more rigorous requirements of inside-forward but he made a contribution with eleven starts as the Town won promotion back to Southern League Division One.

Edgar was not retained at the end of the campaign and moved on to Barrow.
