He scored on his debut for his new club, in a game which marked the Silkmen’s first in the Football League.
Famous for wearing a bandana bearing the words ‘Against All Odds’, Nigerian international Efe subsequently turned out nine Football League clubs finishing up at Macclesfield.
During his travels around the Football League, Efe joined the Hatters in 1999 but quickly incurred the wrath of manager Lennie Lawrence after failing to keep in touch whilst away with his country for the African Cup of Nations.
