Foster Robinson

Foster Robinson Date of Birth: Feb 6, 1901

Born in South Shields in 1901, Foster was a promising youngster who joined Coventry in 1921 and was then promptly loaned out to Nuneaton Town to gain experience.

After only a handful of appearances at Highfield Road he moved to Bournemouth where he was more successful, enjoying a good run on the left wing in 1923-24, before coming to Luton in December 1924 when his appearances at Dean Court dried up.

Injured in his first reserve game, which needed an operation, he could not get past the consistent George Dennis once fit and made only one appearance in a 2-0 home win over Southend in April 1926 where he scored the opening goal

Foster moved back to Nuneaton Town in the summer of 1926 and passed away in South Shields in 1975.
