Playing in the Football League for Preston, Manchester City, Chelsea (where he top scored in their first season) and Hull much was expected of the 23 year old striker or inside-forward.
As with all his other clubs he started well but then seemed to drift off. Making 17 appearances in the Southern League side of 1907-08 he scored only two goals and was allowed to leave for Rochdale at the season’s end.
Frank ended his football career with Eccles Borough in his native Manchester.
