Frank Sloan

Frank John Sloan Date of Birth: Dec 26, 1904

Born at Chapelhall, Airdrie in 1904, Frank was picked up from Scottish junior football by Plymouth and enjoyed 13 seasons in Devon before becoming part of a four man transfer to Luton in February 1935.

A veteran of over 200 League games for Argyle his best years were behind him and he found it difficult to force his way into the first team. He did though appear twice against Sunderland in the FA Cup in 1937 when he turned back the years and was regarded as the Luton Man of the Match on each occasion.
