Gavin McGowan

Gavin Gregory McGowan Date of Birth: Jan 16, 1976

England schoolboy and youth international Gavin seemed to have his career mapped out when he made his League debut for Arsenal as a 17 year old in 1993 and then went on to help the Gunners win the FAYouth cup a year later.

Sadly, Gavin’s early promise at Highbury did not continue and after two loan spells at Luton he joined the Hatters on a free transfer in 1998.

A skilful, attacking full-back Gavin unfortunately played in a Luton side that was eventually destined to be relegated to the football basement and so was not able to see his abilities flourish in a winning side.

After leaving Luton, Gavin turned out for many non-League clubs in the London area and became a coach at schools in the capital.
