George Beavan

George David Beavan Date of Birth: Feb 13, 1990

Beavan, born in Sidcup, South East London, George attended Hurtsmere school in Sidcup and although a Millwall fan, he joined the Charlton Academy just up the A2 at the age of 9. Upon leaving Charlton, George was given a trial by Luton Town at the age of 16, by then Youth team manager Marvin Johnson, signing scholarship forms and quickly became a key part of the Youth team for the 2006/07 season. 

Upon Mick Harford's appointment as first team manager for the second half of the 2007/08 season, Mick decided that blooding the youth was the best course of action for the squad, after watching the youth team beat Northampton Town a number of players caught his attention, including Beavan, who made his Luton Town debut as a substitute, replacing the injured Keith Keane, in a League 1 match against Bournemouth during a 4-1 loss. Regardless of the scoreline, Beavan impressed during the game showing a maturity when called upon. He played one further league game during the 2007/08 season, a narrow loss to Leyton Orient.

Beavans' 2008/09 season started with a month loan to Salisbury, before playing 7 more matches for Luton Town in the first half of the 2008/09 season, a mixture of FA Cup, Football League Trophy and League matches, with the second half of his season finishing with loans to Grays Athletic. He returned to Grays Athletic for 4 months of the 2009/10 season, before returning to Luton Town, and was released at the end of the season by Richard Money. 

Beavan went onto play for Fisher, Billericay Town and Tonsbridge Angels, before retiring to become a Black Cab driver.
