George Dodd
George Francis Dodd Date of Birth: Dec 16, 1881 Share "George Dodd" on FacebookBorn in Whitchurch in 1885, George was a much travelled forward who was nearly 35 when he was brought to Kenilworth Road in October 1919 to help end a goal drought.
Having played with distinction for Stockport, Notts County and Chelsea in the Football League, the experience shown by George in nine appearances (and four goals) in 1919-20 helped steady the ship.
He left at the end of the campaign and finished up at Charlton before becoming manager of short-lived Catford South End. George passed away in 1960.
