Graham Alexander

Graham Alexander Date of Birth: Oct 10, 1971

Coventry born Graham signed on for Scunthorpe in March 1990 from youth trainee making his League debut the following season.

After over 150 League appearances for the Iron he became one of ill-fated Luton manager Terry Westley’s signings over the summer of 1995. The £100,000 was well spent, however, as Alexander soon displayed sound defensive qualities as well as showing he was the best dead ball kicker at the club.

Sadly, finances dictated that the Hatters had to accept a cut-price £50,000 offer from Preston in March 1999 and the full-back went on to become a crowd favourite at Deepdale as well as picking up caps for Scotland.

Graham made a surprise move to Burnley in the summer of 2006 and continued his playing career past 1000 League appearances with a final swansong back at Preston.

Graham subsequently managed Fleetwood, Scunthorpe and Salford City.
