Harry Worley

Harry Worley Date of Birth: Nov 25, 1988

Born Lymm, Cheshire. Harry started out aged 11 with Stockport County and was sold to Chelsea aged 16 for £150,000. He turned pro in 2005 but never made the Chelsea first team. He was loaned out to Doncaster Rovers, Carlisle United and Leicester City. The Foxes signed him in 2008 and he was loaned out to the Hatters where he made his debut at centre back in a 1 0 defeat to Rotherham United on 20th September 2008. He had a run of 6 starts at centre back which saw 3 defeats and 3 draws in a season where minus 30 points had to be made up quickly. Harry was replaced by Ian Roper and after ten games, he returned to Leicester.

Harry then found some stability with a season long loan with Crewe Alexandra. Despite two spells of injury he made 24 appearances and Crewe wanted to make it permanent. He was released by Leicester and Oxford United stepped in and gave Harry a three year deal in July 2010. That first season saw 46 games played with one goal scored but it was not to last. New signings and injury problems saw him miss much of the next two seasons.

Justin Edinburgh at Newport County snapped him up and 33 appearances and 4 goals followed. Injury and suspensions affected his season and he was released and went on to Stevenage also of League Two (4th tier). In the 3rd game of the season Harry did his ACL which kept him out until March when he immediately injured his knee again and played only one more game - a 2 0 defeat to the Hatters. Hartlepool United signed him for the 2015/16 season but sadly injury again set him back and he was released after playing just 5 games. A trial at Salford City came to nothing.
