Herbert Woods

Herbert Woods

Born in Dunstable, Bert was well known in local footballing circles due mainly to his displays on the left-wing for Dunstable Rangers.

Joining the Town in 1901 he played for a season in the reserve side but did eventually get four starts in the Southern League team in 1902-03 where he did not do enough to be kept on.

In later years Bert had a short spell with Watford with a similar end result but had greater success with Hitchin and Luton Clarence.
