Hugh McLeish
Hugh McLeish Date of Birth: Jun 10, 1948 Share "Hugh McLeish" on Facebook19 year old Scottish inside-forward Hugh was a surprise choice for Luton in a top of the table Division Four clash at Bradford City in December 1967, acquitting himself well and hitting a post in the closing minutes as the Hatters went down 0-2.
Hugh had played for the Dundee United ‘A’ team and had just finished a short spell at Sunderland when he won a trial at Luton. He then starred for the reserves in a win over Watford and was picked for the Bradford trip in place of the injured Keith Allen.
Hugh made only one more appearance for the Hatters, bizarrely at Bradford P.A. later that month, before accepting a contract at Stevenage.
Hugh played for several more English non-League clubs before sadly passing away in 2004 at only 56.
