Hugh Mills
Hugh Mills Date of Birth: Mar 9, 1909 Share "Hugh Mills" on FacebookBorn in Dumbarton in 1909, Hugh was a prolific goalscorer in Scottish junior football as well as being able to sprint 100 yards in 11 seconds as a juvenile.
West Ham won the race for his services in 1932 where his goals to games ration was outstanding despite never being a regular in the side. Moving briefly to Celtic and then to Cannes on loan he came to Luton in the summer of 1936 to meet up again with Town manager Ned Liddell who was originally responsible for taking him to West Ham.
Unfortunately, Hugh could not displace the prolific Joe Payne and after only two games in 1936-37 moved to Carlisle where he picked up his goals to games ratio once more.
Hugh finished his playing career at Clyde in 1941 and passed away in 1949.
